Hi Django,
Translating the admin gui to different languages requires a lot of work.
It's no rocket science but just a lot of work extracting text from the
tml files into .properties file. For every language and tml file a
properties files must be created. The hardest issue it to make sure that
all languages remain up to date. It's something we have on our todo list
but will take some time before we start working on it. That said, the
pages for end users (portal, PD relay DLP page etc.) are translated into
a number of languages (including German).

O.K., that's not much important and no kill criteria.
It's something we have on our todo list

Maybe I can offer a little help at this point. 
That said, the
