Signing compatibility with different devices ?

Hello,

normally on an Apple Device (Ipad, Iphone) a signed incoming mail is shown with a small black icon with an arrow.
If i sent a mail with a valid cert trough the gateway the message in the inbox will not have this icon, but clients like outlook or gmail says that the mail is signed correctly.
If i import the cert to my client and send the same mail with client-side-signing the black icon is showing.
Is there any setting at the gateway which will make the trouble, maybe use another signing algorithm or anything else ?

Thank a lot for any helping,
Patrick

Works for me in my iPhone

shown with a small black icon with an arrow.

Not sure what you mean with "black icon with an arror". On my iPhone it
is shown as a blue star with a check sign on it. If I click the sender
it says "Signed. The sender signed this message with a trusted
certificate".

Can you send a signed email directly to me so I can check (
martijn(a)ciphermail.com)

Kind regards,

It looks like your signing algorithm is set to SHA512. Can you check
whether it works if you set it to SHA256 (which should be the default).
It could be that the iPhone mail app does not support SHA512

Did the settings back to SHA256, same problem.
I only swapped to SHA512 for testing.

now i found out that if i send a mail in the ciphermail backend „send email“ everything is working fine.
only if i send the mail from a client through ciphermail i have the problem.
