where did you define "external"? In the domain or user setting? Based on
"internal/external" ciphermail decides whether an email has to decrypted or
encrypted. This has nothing to with the location of the ciphermail server
in your network.

Not sure why you are using both sendmail and postfix on the same server. Am I understanding this correctly?
