Alliance partner name for Comodo handler

Hello,

i've got problems to find out the alliance partner name (AP) in order
to set up the request handler for comodo. I called comodo support in
order to get to know the AP name, they told that I've got to sign up
as a reseller in order to get a AP name. Is this necessary or is there
any other AP name i can use?

Kind regards,
Bernhard Heinzle

Hi Bernhard,

Yes you either need to sign up as reseller or contact an existing
reseller. The reseller can create a sub account for you.

As I have a reseller account, I might be able to create one for you or,
you can contact a reseller if you already are have your own reseller.
Note that Comodo certificates are not free.

If you are interested in Comodo certificates, please contact me directly
on martijn(a)djigzo.com.

Kind regards,

Martijn

Hi Martijn,

many thanks for you fast reply.

I signed up as a reseller, but i couldn't figure out how user
management works as a reseller. If i use my own AP name and the
username/password combination i used for signing up as a reseller i
get a "Waiting for request; Error requesting certificate. Message:
Permission denied!" message in the pending certificate request list.
Any idea why?

Kind regards,
Bernhard

I think Comodo has to approve you as a reseller and allow you to request
custom client certificates.

Many thanks, the reseller account was activated, but as you said, the
permission for requesting custom client certificates was still
missing.
